So you’ve got the basics down — diapers, covers, wipes. Maybe you’ve read our post on the 5 Must-Haves for Cloth Diapering when you got started. But what about the little things that make cloth diapering feel smoother, comfier, and just… easier?
These aren’t essentials, but they’re definitely worth it if you want to level up your routine (or make that midnight change a little more bearable).
1. Cloth Wipes: An Eco-Friendly Companion

If you’re already washing cloth diapers, you might as well toss in the wipes too. These reusable little squares are way more effective than disposables — we usually only need 1–2 vs. the 5+ it takes with throwaways.
They're gentle, sustainable, and honestly just feel like a smart move once you try them.
2. Wipe Warmer: The Comfort Factor

IIs this a need? No. But is it a baby-pleasing, parent-approved upgrade? Absolutely.
Cold wipes on tiny bums = unhappy babies. A wipe warmer adds that cozy factor that makes changes more peaceful — especially during late-night wakeups.
3. Diaper Cream Spatula: Hygienic and Practical

I laughed the first time I saw this, but now? I swear by it.
This little silicone wand keeps your fingers clean, your cream container germ-free, and spreads like a dream. Bonus: toss it in the dishwasher when it needs a refresh.
4. Cloth Safe Diaper Cream: Gentle Care for Sensitive Skin

Not all creams play nice with cloth. The wrong ones can mess with absorbency and leave behind buildup.
We love the Esembly cream — it’s gentle, effective, and totally safe for your stash. If you’re already cloth diapering, it’s worth having one you know won’t cause problems.
5. Diaper Liners: Simplifying Cleanup and Maintenance

Liners are those little things that make a big difference. They're especially helpful when solids enter the chat.
These thin sheets catch the mess and make cleanup so much easier. We use them when we’re out and about or anytime we want to keep our diapers stain-free without extra effort.
Cloth diapering is totally doable without these — but these five? They make it a lot nicer.More comfortable for baby, more streamlined for you, and just a little more joyful overall.
